Are you open now?

We officially reopened softly on June 10th, 2020 and will be gradually phasing in different aspects of hygiene treatment starting on Monday, June 15th. Our office hours are currently evolving as we continue to reopen.

What is the easiest way to schedule a hygiene appointment?

As we do have a lot of patients to connect with, it is easiest if you email your doctors receptionist.

Dr. Kadamani

Dr. Kaufman

Dr. Lewis

Dr. Sotero

As always you can call us at 613-824-3888 and go directly to your doctor’s extension:

Dr. Kadamani (ext. 4)

Dr. Kaufman (ext. 6)

Dr. Lewis (ext. 7)

Dr. Sotero (ext. 5)

I had an appointment that was scheduled during the pandemic period (March 16th - June 10th), what’s the status of my appointment?

Appointments that were cancelled during this time could experience a 3-6 month wait due to our restricted schedule. We are unable to see as many patients in a day, and are operating on a 30-40% reduction of visits currently. We will connect with you. If you prefer to email an appointment request directly to your doctor’s receptionist email we will get back to you as soon as possible.

What if I have a dental emergency?

If you have a dental emergency please call or email the office and we will schedule you a time with your dentist.  If you experience an emergency when the office is closed (evenings and weekends), please call the Ottawa Dental Society’s emergency number at (613) 523-4185 or go to their website https://ottawadentalsociety.org/dental-emergency/

What if I still don’t feel comfortable coming in?

That’s okay, we understand that everyone’s health and comfort levels are different. We’ll still reach out and call regarding an appointment, but you let us know when you’re comfortable coming in. These are unique times. Something to consider is booking ahead by 3 – 6 months so when you are ready, you can get an appointment. As we confirm appointments about 2 weeks in advance giving you lots of time to decide.

Can I still see the same hygienist when I come in for my appointment?

We will be doing our best as we know there are some strong patient relationships with our hygienists. We do currently expect our limited capacity to be part of our new normal for a while. We will be doing the best we can to keep your regular hygienist. We do appreciate it when patients can flex with us as needed. We will do our best to get you rescheduled with your favorite hygienist at your next appointment.

What measures are you taking to ensure patients’ safety during the pandemic?
We want you to feel safe when visiting our facility. Here are some of the measures we are taking to help ensure your safety and comfort during visits:
  • We’ve introduced a new COVID pre-screen questionnaire 24 – 48 hours in advance of an appointment and upon arrival including temperature check.
  • We will be limiting patients arrivals, waiting, and dismissals in the reception room to respect physical distancing.
  • We’ve installed HEPA air filtration systems throughout the entire practice.
  • Fit-tested masks, face shields, gowns, and other personal protective equipment (beyond the standard set by our governing body) are being used to exceed safety standards in addition to being sourced from local Canadian suppliers
  • We have implemented new hand sanitizing stations, room barriers, as well as cough/sneeze guards at our reception area.
