It is a very challenging time. Thank you for your patience!

We are busy making positive change with your health and safety in mind.

Public Health Ontario along with the all the various governing bodies and associations have been creating new guidelines for dental providers and hygienists as we ready to resume our practice.

Effective Wednesday, June 10th, we will be opening for exams, x-rays, and diagnostic assessments.

Priority is with patients whom have been tri-aged as they have had a dental emergency which we managed by tele-dentistry since our closure back in March. Treatment for these patients will begin Monday, June 15th. Our current focus is to schedule dental treatment only.

Routine hygiene services are still not being scheduled at this time as we take a safe and measured approach to re-opening. We will keep you updated as to when hygiene services will resume and will reach out to reschedule appointments accordingly.

You will notice some changes in our office. We have been busy preparing and outfitting our facility with new equipment and procedures to help ensure your safety and comfort during visits:

  • We’ve installed a HEPA air filtration system to increase the level of safety for patients and staff to provide optimal care effectively
  • Fit-tested masks, face shields, gowns, and other personal protective equipment (beyond the standard set by our governing body) are being used to exceed safety standards.
  • We have built new local business supplier relationships in the process. These face shields and other products are being purchased from local Canadian companies such as: Plexiglass face shields and cough guards by Miller McConnell; Antimicrobial rinses from Watson’s Pharmacy & Compounding Centre  and many more.

Our doctors all continue to be available for tele-dentistry for emergency and urgent dental needs. Please email us at info@orleansdentalcentre.ca or call us and leave a message at 613-824-3888. As some of our admin team are working from home email does function really well so please take advantage of that service. Someone will get back to you by the end of business day during the weekdays.

Our new schedule is a work in progress. With all the required physical distancing and scheduling criteria, we are having to significantly adjust the schedule to ensure your safety and that of our team. Expect that over time we will systematically connect with you to schedule any and all pre-scheduled or historical dental or hygiene appointments. We do appreciate your patience as we endeavor to connect with each patient.

We look forward to being able to see you all again and continue to provide a quality of care.

As noted, using cell phones and email to connect with you digitally is a big help making contacting you much more effective and easier. If we don’t already have your cell phone number or email on file, please fill out the form below!

We are excited to see all of your lovely smiles in our office again soon!

Stay connected and stay safe,
The Orleans Dental Centre Team
